The Memorial de La Marseillaise tells the story of Marseille and the French national anthem. It is a compact museum found on Rue Thubaneau, whose staff are very friendly to visitors and eager to share the story of the quintessentially French tune and how it came into existence - paradoxically, not in the city of Marseille at all.

When exploring the historic city of Rimini, Piazza Cavour makes for an excellent starting point for your walk. This square, once a bustling marketplace, has evolved into one of the city's vibrant social hubs. You'll find an array of bars and shops adorning its periphery. Along one side of the square, you'll encounter some remarkable historical buildings, including Palazzo Garampi, Palazzo Arengo, and Palazzo Podestà. At the heart of it all stands the Fontana della Pigna, which, in its current form, serves as a testament to the enduring history of this place, as it dates back to Roman times.

Housed inside a former castle, and with splendid park grounds in its immediate surroundings, the Quiñones de León Museum is worth the short trip from central Vigo if only for its well-maintained French garden (some say, a miniature of the one in Versailles). The museum itself contains archaeological artefacts discovered in Vigo and surroundings.
