Home to the most important treasures of the Nature Isle, Morne Trois Pitons covers an area of nearly 7000 hectares, and is only a 20-minute drive from Roseau. It is dotted by emblematic sights such as the Emerald Pool, the twin cascades of Trafalgar Falls, and the Titou Gorge, where scenes from the Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed. The park exemplifies the amazing natural diversity of Dominica and is a central area for the island's volcanic activities, the highlight of which is Boiling Lake — a fumarole that heats up to 90 °C.

During the hot summer months, this park is a popular place to relax in the shades of the trees. Students, locals and tourists come here for a picnic, a stroll, to let their children play at the playground and even to discover some ancient sights. The construction of the citadel began in 1440 during the first period of Florentine rule. In the 1930s, the area became a public garden and was used for performances, concerts and as an open-air cinema in summer.

The fort and its beautiful gardens are a great place to escape the bustle of the city streets for a while. Dating back to 1684, the complex includes three monuments: the Quilla Mosque, the Tomb of Pari Bibi and the Hall of Audience. This last one, the only one visitors can enter, houses a small museum containing coins, carpets, paintings and more.

La Mola is one of the major European fortresses built in the 19th century. Located by the harbour in Mahón, it offers both an interesting insight into history and panoramic view points onto land and ocean.
