Serving as the cathedral for the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Jose in California is the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph. The beautiful church follows the ground plan of a Greek cross, with a round altar beneath the dome. Bavarian glass and stained glass murals lend to the basilica’s stunning craftsmanship, along with a multitude of artwork, sculptures, paintings and the elegant Stations of the Cross. Originally built in 1803, St. Joseph’s has undergone several major fires and renovations to remain the lovely structure of today, and Mass is still held.

Although access to this beach is remarkably easier for guests of resorts like Westin and Aston, visitors can still park their cars at Whalers Village to access this immensely popular beach dotted with various bars and restaurants. A true oasis of fauna and flora, the triangle-shaped Reserve covers over 3000 hectares of sea and land including the islands off the east coast: Pinel Island, Petite Clef, Green Cay and Tintamarre. With its rocky coasts, cliffs and beaches, the reserve is home to a host of different species like seabirds, iguanas, sea turtles, and dolphins.

The Whirlpool Aero car was designed by a Spanish engineer, Leonardo Torres Quevedo and has been in operation since 1916. The cable car is suspended from six sturdy cables and offers a wonderful view of the Niagara Whirlpool which is formed at the end of the rapids where the gorge turns abruptly counterclockwise and the river escapes through the narrowest channel in the gorge. High above the racing Niagara River, you'll be transported through the air in an antique cable car. Far below, the torrent of water abruptly changes direction and creates one of the world’s most mesmerizing natural phenomenons: the Niagara Whirlpool. It is sometimes frightening and always unforgettable.
