Downtown Bridgetown has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 2012 (along with the Garrison). You can start your walk at Independence Square with its fountains and columns and cross Chamberlain Bridge. You will then arrive at National Heroes Square (formerly known as Trafalgar Square) at the northern shore of the Careenage. From here you can explore the streets, getting a glimpse of colonial buildings here and there.

The Parliamentary Buildings of Barbados are situated along the Constitution River and next to National Heroes Square. They are also part of the city’s World Heritage Site and contain (amongst other things) the Public Library and a museum. The West Wing hosts the National Heroes Gallery and depicts the history of democracy in Barbados. Besides all this, parliament sessions are open to the public.

Below you'll find a few tips on what to see and do: - The Silver Falls (Silverfallet) The waterfall of Silverfallet is situated in the middle of the area. It is most popular during the spring but is beautiful all year round with unique fauna, nice walking tracks, and picnic spots. - Öglunda Caves and Jättadalen Carved beneath colossal fallen stone blocks, the Öglunda caves showcase captivating formations, including free-standing pillars of dolerite. These unique hollows, caves, and pillars are a distinctive feature adorning the dolerite slopes throughout Billingen. Jättadalen, a gorge sculpted by a meandering stream, is embraced by steep mountain walls. Stand atop the precipitous cliffs of Jättadalen, and you'll be treated to a breathtaking panorama of Vallebygden, stretching all the way to the majestic Kinnekulle. - Hiking in Valle In the area, there are a lot of walking tracks that take you around and in between the many small lakes. Come here for an evening walk or join the active runners on the popular jogging track. This park provides a great opportunity to flee from the hustle of the city and enjoy a minute for yourself.
