The New Mexico State Capitol, known locally as the Roundhouse, is the seat of government in New Mexico. It is the only round state capitol in the United States. Designed to resemble the Zia Sun Symbol when viewed from above, there are consequently four entrance wings that protrude from a main cylindrical volume. Above each entrance is a stone carving of the State Seal of New Mexico. One of the building's levels is below ground.

The City Tourist Route is a 7-km-long loop which connects 42 sites – the most interesting monuments and places worthseeing. The idea behind the route was to commemorate the 750th anniversary of granting town privileges to Szczecin. The route is marked by an easily found red dotted line painted on the pavement, and thus the common name of the trail is the “Red Route”. Numbers in circles act as supplementary signs corresponding to each site on the route. Near to each number an information board with a detailed description of the object is either suspended on the wall of the building or standing alone. A pocket guidebook published in various languages, including a map of the route, can be purchased at the tourist information centres, the local seat of Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society and in bookstores. Showing the incredible and technical prowess of the 17th century, this unparalleled masterpiece of civil engineering joins the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. Bridges, locks, staircase locks, round locks, canal bridges, built by thousands of men. Its inventor Pierre Paul Riquet died before seeing the completion of his work. The visionary canal-builder ended life poor, and the canal's commercial use has now been replaced by tourism, bike rides along its banks and activities on the water (musical cruises) or at the water's edge. It is more than 350 years old and has been recognised as UNESCO World Heritage for Humanity.

Ireland’s largest medieval parish church, St Nicholas' Collegiate Church dates from 1320 and is famed for its collection of curiosities. These days, traditional Irish Sessions take place in the church, with the rector playing the flute on summer nights. The church is loved by many, and it’s even said that Christopher Columbus prayed here in 1477 before setting off on his voyage to the New World.
