Kronoskogen, a forested area between Ängelholm and Skälderviken, features a diverse array of pine, birch, and other trees, creating a natural shield against sea winds and sand. The western part, Ängelholm's coastal forest, is a designated nature reserve. Explore its marked hiking trails that range from 2.8 to 10 km and connect with the Skåneleden trail. Enjoy fishing or paddling in Rönne å, and find well-prepared rest areas. The area's diverse flora and fauna, including rare species like Goodyera repens orchid (Knärot) and Alpine enchanter's-nightshade (Dvärghäxört), add to its charm.

Stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking are a great activity for the whole family and is a fantastic way to see the city from a new angle. There are numerous rental businesses along the river that will provide you with equipment, instructions and tours. River Queen Voyages and Cumberland Kayak are centrally located for your convenience.

Bocas is one of the very few Caribbean surf spots with good sized waves. There may be better and bigger waves in the Pacific, but here, when you surf, you do it in turquoise waters, while you ride above colorful coral reefs or white sand. There are beach breaks, point breaks and reef breaks, lefts, and rights for all tastes and preferences. You can find breaks three minutes away from Isla Colon. The preferred surf spots are Wizard, Bluff, Punch, The Point at Carenero and Tiger Tail. It is important to visit these spots with somebody who knows the area, especially if you will be surfing over a reef break.
