The museum ship Pommer (Museifartyget Pommern) is the world’s only four-masted freight sailing ship still in its original condition. It reminds onlookers of the time when an entire fleet of such ships was based in Mariehamn. Visit the Pommern in the Western Harbour.

Dubbed the "home of American coffee culture," Portland knows what it takes to brew the perfect cup. In a 2016 survey of 100 U.S. cities, Portland topped the list, boasting the most coffee roasters per capita and the highest number of cafés. Many credit this tiny space with launching Portland’s rise to coffee fame, now a chain with outlets from New York to LA.

Mariager Salt Centre is the only experience centre in the North that is fully committed to salt, as you can here gain an insight into its history through exhibitions and activities. Experience the magic in the hut where the “White Gold” is produced, and where you can try extracting salt from seawater as they did in the Middle Ages, while you can also take a hot salt bath in “The Dead Sea”.
