It’s Berlin’s most famous landmark and became the symbol of overcoming the division of Germany. From an architectural perspective, the sandstone structure, built by Carl Gotthard Langhans, is one of the most magnificent examples of German classicism. Nowadays the Gate serves as a backdrop for festivals, big sporting events or New Year’s Eve parties.

The Kolarac Foundation, housed in a splendid building that also serves as the People's University, has been a bastion of knowledge, culture, and music since its construction in 1932. Its Music Centre is a key promoter of musical culture in Belgrade, with the Concert Hall hosting over 250 concerts annually. The Foundation's lectures and programmes are dedicated to the promotion and popularisation of culture, science, and art. By offering a diverse array of events, it nurtures both its own cultural identity and that of other nations, thereby contributing to the development of a culture of awareness.

Laze away the day at Cataract Gorge Reserve only a few minutes from the centre of Launceston. There are peacocks and wallabies, rock climbing and a swimming pool at this popular urban playground. Follow a pathway along the cliff face looking down onto the South Esk River. On the shady northern side, known as the Cliff Grounds, is a Victorian garden with ferns and exotic plants. Wander across the footbridge and take a chairlift ride across the river.

At Desert Memorial Park Cemetery, you can visit the gravesites of famous Rat Pack crooner Frank Sinatra and 70s singer Sonny Bono, of the duo Sonny and Cher. As this is a cemetery, please be respectful of the dead and behave accordingly.
