The lively waterside area is a breezy spot with several appealing cafes and budget eateries, as well as vendor stalls selling traditional South African crafts and souvenirs. Come here to people-watch and, possibly, join a boat trip along the coastline with one of the several companies offering the service. Visit the nearby Sugar Terminal to learn about the local sugar production industry.

The Yuejiang Tower in Nanjing boasts a unique history, having achieved fame centuries before its actual construction. In 1374, the first Emperor of the Ming Dynasty envisioned a tower by the Yangtze River, naming it Yuejiang (literally meaning "overlooking the river"). He commissioned authors across the country to write articles praising the magnificent tower, even though it was not yet built. One of these articles became a classic, but the tower's construction was not started until 2000. The reputation of the Yuejiang Tower preceded its actual existence by 650 years.

From the fish market, you can take the cable car up to one of the seven mountain peaks and enjoy the breathtaking view! The cable car climbs 320 metres up the mountain, and you can either take an invigorating walk down or, in winter, go down by sledge.

One of Bordeaux’s oldest landmarks, the Grosse Cloche is a medieval belfry that once served as a gate and even a prison for young offenders. The two towers on either side are about 40 metres tall and frame the central bell tower. The current bell, cast in the 18th century, weighs nearly 8 tonnes and still rings on special days.
