Loveland Castle, also known as Château Laroche, is a full-scale medieval-style castle built single-handedly by Harry D. Andrews, a World War I veteran, starting in the 1920s. Constructed using stones from the Little Miami River and bricks molded from quart milk cartons, Andrews dedicated over 50 years to this labor of love. When you visit, you can wander through the castle’s towers and narrow halls, check out some old-school medieval weapons, and just soak in the quirky, one-of-a-kind vibe. It's a fun and odd little stop with beautiful gardens and a peaceful riverside spot to hang out afterward.

The busy market is one of Banjul's primary attractions, a vibrant kaleidoscope of multi-colored peppers, all manner of foodstuffs (from rather standard fruit and vegetables to salted fish and even dried sea snails), fabrics, jewellery, and beauty products such as wonder-working shea butter.

The Museum of Fine Arts holds beautiful sculptures, paintings from the revolutionary confiscations and architecture. Here you will also find many interesting exhibitions all year around. The lower and upper gallery shows paintings from different eras and countries.

Visit the last resting place of the legendary Bruce Lee and his son. With his gravestone well maintained and where flowers are placed upon a daily it's a sight to behold.
