Porta Posnania is the introduction to a visit to the Cathedral Island in Poznań - an island where you experience the beginnings of Polish statehood first hand. Porta Posnania is a modern center of heritage interpretation. The exhibition and various events at Porta Posnania restore and rediscover the meaning of the oldest part of Poznań to Polish identity.

The Metropolitan Cathedral of São Paulo or simply Catedral da Sé is an imposing neo-gothic church located in Praça da Sé. It is 46 meters wide, 111 meters long, and has a dome 65 meters high. It was one of the first churches built in São Paulo–its first construction started in 1591–and today it is considered one of the largest neo-gothic temples in the world. It contains a crypt with the remains of Cacique Tibiriçá, the first Indian converted and baptized by the Jesuits José de Anchieta and Leonardo Nunes. It is also worth noting its grandiose organ–the largest in Latin America.

The Franciscan Church’s vaults host 3 models: the model of historic Poznań, the model of first Piasts’ town and the model of the Old Market Square. The first one depicts Poznań as presented in Braun-Hogenberg’s picture of 1618 in the scale of 1:150. The second one shows the appearance of Poznań in 10th century. In consideration of blind people, third model (1:100) has been made in the convex technique. The descriptions of the elements are in Braille.

The island's iconic landmark is its collection of whitewashed round windmills (or Kato Milli), which make for some incredible postcard-ready photographs.
