If you like football, this is the place to visit for an exciting game. Signal Iduna Park opened in 1974 and holds 80,720 (25,000 standing) spectators. The tour includes the players’ tunnel, dressing rooms, VIP areas, mixed zone, stadium prison and Borusseum club museum. The tour takes about 60 minutes.

The National Archaeological Museum, in Exarchia, is home to Ancient Greece’s most spectacular pieces. One room contains Schliemann’s finds from Mycenae, another has the famous frescoes from Santorini on display. There is also a fine collection of idols from the Cyclades and ceramics from all parts of the Mediterranean. The star of the museum is the Antikythera Mechanism, an ancient hand-powered orrery, described as the oldest example of an analogue computer used to predict astronomical positions and eclipses decades in advance. This scientific marvel is dated somewhere between 205 and 60 BCE.

In recent years, Bildmuseet has established itself as one of the country’s leading museums for photography and the visual arts. Painting, sculpture, drawings, graffiti, video and installations, but also photojournalism, design, architecture and the world of scientific images are presented in about 15 exhibitions per year. The museum's new seven-story building enjoys phenomenal views. Along with its shop and café the museum is by the Ume river.
