An outstanding collection of glass items, many of them hailing from the Roman settlements around the region and the local Roman necropolis. Glass-blowing and bead making demonstrations are available every day.

Apart from primarily utilitarian trips across the Mar Menor to settlements like Santiago de la Ribera and Los Alcazares, several boat operators offer guided leisure rides - these often include a tour of coastal attractions, along with stops for swimming out at sea or one of the area's many beaches. Alykes sits on an east-facing bay midway along Zante’s northeast coast. The village features a long sandy beach with plenty of water sports facilities, alongside a good selection of tavernas and bars serving traditional specialties. The village takes its name from the former salt flats, located just 50 metres from the shore, which now form a protected nature reserve. The beach extends into the neighbouring area of Alikanas, where the strip of sand broadens considerably.

The Ethnographic Museum is located in an old granary dating to the 16th century, where it is possible to see just how much attention the residents of Dubrovnik gave to the storage of grain. The Dubrovnik Republic kept all the state reserves of wheat, barley and millet in deep silos called 'rupe', carved out of stone and coated with a water-proof material that kept the grain at a temperature of 17ºC. The traditional rural economy and architecture of the Dubrovnik region is found on the First Floor. Folk costumes and textile handiwork can be seen on the 2nd Floor.
