Corciano is a hilltop village around 13 km north of Perugia. With Etruscan-Roman origins, it’s been named as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Bus no.87 runs every hour from Piazza Italia to Corciano. It takes around 50 minutes.

The Treasury exhibits valuable examples of sacred art: the large Romanesque painted crucifix from the 12th century, the painting of the Dead Christ — the work of Jacopo da Ponte Bassano, the large Renaissance crucifix from the 15th century, ancient liturgical vessels, precious illuminated codices and chorals, documents, incunabula, etc. The painted Ugljan polyptych from the 15th century is without any doubt the finest and the most representative example of the entire Gothic painting in Croatia.

Built in 1963 to commemorate Tunisia's first president Habib Bourguiba, this colourful mosque demonstrates typical Tunisian religious architecture complete with pink marble pillars and golden mosaics which are exquisitely preserved. The impressive prayer room which is the focal point of the mosque can take up to one thousand visitors and is often busy with locals and tourists meandering through. It is worth noting that, although admittance to the mosque is free of charge, opening times may vary. To get the most out of the experience a guided tour from one of the private tour operators in the area might be helpful.

The Museum of Modern Art in Chapultepec park focuses on displaying modern Mexican art, mainly from the decade of 1930 onwards. The vast collection is presented through temporary exhibitions, usually three or four at a time. MAM is without a doubt the best place to see the widest possible variety of modern Mexican art within a short span of time. Frida Kahlo fans will always find a few of her works on display. Apart from the exhibitions in the main building, you'll find a large garden with numerous sculptures and a cozy cafe to keep your energy levels up.
