Strikes & Spares is the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time—in the best way. The arcade is packed with games for a little friendly competition, and if you’re into pool, there are billiard tables, too.

Sharjah's newest attraction, the artificial Noor Island was opened to the public in 2015. It contains a Butterfly House with over 500 butterflies roaming free under the hall's ornate roof, and a Literature Pavillion, with plenty of quiet reading spots. There is a long walkway running across the island that takes you through its key pavilions, scenic areas, and multi-media installations.

With collected memories and traces of the history of mankind in Blekinge from the past 10,000 years, Blekinge Museum delves into the region's past, unravelling stories of local trades such as fishing, boat-building, and quarrying. A highlight within its exhibits is Grevagården, an impeccably preserved 18th-century residence adorned with an extensive array of vintage artefacts.

These fabulous mountains of West MacDonnell Ranges stretch for 644 kilometres east and west of Alice, with numerous water holes, beautiful gorges, historic sites and Aboriginal rock art as well as plenty of walking trails, wildlife and good bush camping. Some places are within a reach of 10-20 kilometres from town, so head here and enjoy its rich atmosphere. There are countless walking tracks ranging, mapped out for leisurely hikes to daring multi-day adventures. The 223-kilometre Larapinta Trail stretches through the park and offers extended and overnight bushwalks.
