While Capital Region Farmers Market might be the most famous one, there are several more to satisfy your need for fresh fruit and vegetables, pastries and food stalls. – Old Bus Depot Markets are open every Sunday from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. – Haig Park Village Markets set up stalls every Sunday from 9 am to 2 pm. – Southside Farmers Markets welcome shoppers on Sunday mornings from 8 am till 11:30 am. – Queanbeyan Market opens on the third Sunday of every month from 9 am until 1 pm. – Murrumbateman Village Market opens on the second and fourth Sunday of every month from 9 am till 1 pm. – The Market at Bungendore welcomes you every second Sunday of the month from 9 am until 3 pm.

Just behind the Forbidden City, Beihai Park is one of Beijing’s oldest and best-preserved imperial gardens. It’s quieter than some of the larger tourist spots, with lakes, pavilions, and tree-lined paths perfect for a stroll — the central White Dagoba on Qionghua Island is a highlight here.

Himmelsberga is Öland's most authentic village, now preserved as an open air museum with enclosed farms built along both sides of the narrow village road. The heart of the museum consists of several large farms with buildings dating back the 18th and 19th century. The cottage is still has the original furniture, and the old stables are packed with all the tools and equipment that were used on the farms. The coffee shop sells freshly baked bread and hot pies, and you can buy genuine Öland handicrafts in the village shop. Himmelsberga holds exhibitions of arts and crafts in its two galleries. There's also an art museum with a collection of older and modern Öland paintings.

At the northeastern tip of Öland, by the gate to Trollskogen (Troll Forest) nature reserve, you'll find Trollskogen nature centre. Many of the forest's trees are ancient, aged between 100–200 years. Crooked pine trees, sculpted by the winds from the sea, contort in imaginative forms. Here, you'll also find spruce and venerable oaks.
