Nestled in the heart of Lindos, right by the main square, the Church of Panagia (Our Lady) stands as a serene sanctuary. This 13th-century church features a whitewashed walls and red Byzantine tiles — the epitome of Greek charm. What sets it apart, however, is its distinctive high-rise stone campanile tower, a feature typical of Rhodian and Dodecanese architecture. Completing the picture is the church's intricate cross-shaped plan, crowned by an octagonal dome and a tranquil courtyard.

The Chiesa di San Michele is easily recognisable for the colourful tile pattern of its dome, which showcases the island's Catalan influences. It is located on Via Carlo Alberto, the main thoroughfare in the Centro Storico.

Lindos might be small, but it's brimming with character. A must-visit is the local Acropolis — not just a standout in Lindos but one of the island's most iconic archaeological gems. Home to monumental 4th-century gates and ancient reliefs dating back to 280 B.C., it's a step back in time. Down the hill, you'll find the 14th-century Castle of the Knights of St John. And don't miss the frescoes in the Virgin Mary of Lindos Church, dating from the 15th century.

Standing proudly as Florida’s tallest lighthouse, the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse is a beacon of history and maritime heritage. Built in 1887, it’s one of the best-preserved lighthouses in the U.S. Visitors can climb the 203 steps to the top for sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway, and surrounding area. The museum, located in the restored keepers’ dwellings, showcases artifacts, exhibits, and stories from the lighthouse’s history. It’s a fascinating glimpse into the lives of the lightkeepers and the role of the lighthouse in guiding sailors through the treacherous waters of the Florida coast.
