Montmartre is one of Paris’s most charming and bohemian neighbourhoods, crowned by the white-domed Sacré-Cœur at the city’s highest point. Once home to artists like Dalí, Monet, and Picasso, its streets are still alive with painters and caricaturists, especially around Place du Tertre. Fans of Amélie will recognise many corners, and downhill in Pigalle you’ll find the iconic Moulin Rouge and the Lapin Agile, a historic cabaret that once drew poets, painters, and singers.

Built in 1901 by Frank Stranahan, Fort Lauderdale's founding father, as a trading post and converted into a residence for the Stranahans in 1906, the Stranahan House is Ft. Lauderdale’s oldest standing structure and a perfect example of 'Florida Frontier' architecture. In its many incarnations, this building has been a post office, general store, town hall and today, is a small museum that teaches about South Florida Pioneer life.

The Champs-Élysées stretches nearly two kilometres from Place de la Concorde up to Place Charles de Gaulle, where the Arc de Triomphe stands tall. It’s a great spot for a stroll any time of year and comes alive during major celebrations like Bastille Day or New Year’s Eve. Each July, the final stage of the Tour de France races down this famous avenue.

The grand, fairy-tale castle-like main building in Timrå was built in 1883–1885 as a summer residence for the timber magnate Fredrik Bünsow, who was one of Sweden's most powerful timber barons at the time. The architects were Isak Gustaf Clason and Fritz Eckert. Clason is known for designing the Nordic Museum and Hallwyl Palace in Stockholm. The beautiful castle (or Villa Merlo, as it is actually called) is now a cultural heritage site and houses Svenska Cellulosa's central archive. In the summer, you can take a guided tour to see the many rooms and halls that still retain their former glory. Even the garden alone is well worth a visit.
