Standing at 34 metres, this bronze tribute to the Greek sun-god Helios was a marvel of its time, crafted by Chares of Lindos in 280 BC.

When exploring the historic city of Rimini, Piazza Cavour makes for an excellent starting point for your walk. The Botanical Garden and Museum was established in 1544 as the first university botanical garden in Europe. The garden is divided into sections that contain the botanical school, gardens, ponds, greenhouses and various buildings. Major collections include herb gardens and arboreta, as well as the old botany institute of late 16th century, with a façade ornamented with sea-shells.
