Up on the hill of Sveti Križ, the Astronomical Centre opened its doors in 2009 and nowadays is the only facility of its kind in Croatia. Exploring the aircraft they used, the Cold War-era coordination, and the area's strategic significance, visitors encounter a treasure trove of aeroplane models and artefacts from bygone eras, including authentic aircraft and helicopters. The museum is meticulously maintained by passionate veterans and aviation enthusiasts. While most written explanations and documents are in Swedish, a QR code facilitates English comprehension. An added thrill awaits with a simulator that allows visitors to take the reins and experience flying their own jet fighter, adding an interactive dimension to this immersive exploration of military aviation history.

This is your chance to learn everything about the legendary Titanic. The museum is a monument to Belfast's maritime heritage and stands on the site of the former Harland & Wolff shipyard, where the fateful Titanic was built. Here you will find nine galleries featuring mind-blowing exhibitions and covering the details of the fitting of the ship, her maiden voyage, the tragic sinking and all that happened after. The shimmering building itself is a sight for sore eyes. The museum is open daily.

The Maritime and History Museum of the Croatian Coast is housed in what in the past was the residence of Hungarian reagents, who controlled Rijeka from 1869 until 1918. The museum hosts permanent exhibits like archaeology, art and the original furniture of the Governor's Palace. The building itself is the first exhibit and is worth a visit.
