Westwood Hills Park invites visitors to escape into three miles of well-marked trails winding through shady oak groves, open grassy meadows, and quiet ridges. Here, you’ll find panoramic views of the Napa Valley that make the climb worthwhile. Benches and picnic tables are thoughtfully scattered along the way, offering spots to catch your breath, take in the landscape, or enjoy a packed lunch. By the parking lot, the Carolyn Parr Nature Museum, run by Napa Valley Naturalists, opens a window into the region’s rich biodiversity. Inside, interactive exhibits explore Napa County’s distinct ecosystems, from wetlands to woodlands, with a hands-on “touch table” featuring animal pelts, nests, and bones—a favorite for kids and curious adults. The museum also includes a children’s nature library and a reference corner for anyone looking to dig deeper into Napa’s flora and fauna.

Marked by the huge flaming sculpture called 'Wind of May', May Fourth Square is a symbol of the 1919 May Fourth Movement — a key moment in China’s modern history when students led an uprising that sparked a wave of nationalism. The square connects the Qingdao municipal government building with the coast, and it’s made up of two main areas: City Hall Square and Central Square. By day, it’s a popular spot for a stroll, and by night, the square is brought to life with colourful lights and a graceful water fountain.

This giant panoramic work of art spans forty metres in circumference and reaches fourteen metres in height, capturing the small fishing village of Scheveningen as it was in the late nineteenth century in a cyclorama. It creates the illusion that the observer is atop a large sand dune looking down upon the village, an illusion which is complemented by the foreground within the artwork that is made up of artificial terrain. The museum is dedicated to the single work of art from Hendrik Willem Mesdag and there are lots of ways to experience it including a guided tour, lectures and even children’s treasure hunts.

Tourists come to the Russian Hill to see, drive or walk down the "crookedest street in the world," that has in total eight hairpin turns. The Hyde Street Cable Car makes a stop at the top of Lombard Street. From there, you can get amazing views of the Fisherman’s Wharf and the Bay.
