The Valladolid Royal Palace in Plaza de San Pablo was the official residence of the Kings of Spain in Valladolid when it was the seat of the courts. It was inhabited by the Spanish monarchs Carlos I, Felipe II and Felipe III and Napoleon Bonaparte during the War of Independence. Numerous structural changes have been made and the Palace was completed around 1528.

Brotfabrik is a former bread factory turned into contemporary art gallery and photography exhibition hall is a must for any art lover. Studios, galleries and showrooms have settled around the inner courtyards, creating a real cultural melting pot around the impressive industrial building. The cafe, Magdas Kantine, is run as a social business, employing refugees and those unemployed long-term.

The Harold L. Lyon Arboretum is 200-acre of real nature rather than a cosmetically designed and landscaped garden. On the trails winding through this impressive scenery, you can find some of the most representative Hawaiian plants and trees, such as breadfruit and sugarcane, so do go here for a lovely and relaxing stroll.

Go on a safari tour at Eriksberg's Wildlife Park and see wild animals in their natural habitat. Red deer, fallow deer, Père David’s deer, European bison, wild boar and moufflon roam freely in this unique nature reserve in the archipelago. The tour goes through a fascinating rocky landscape of oak woodlands, dense hornbeam woodlands and knotty conifers. There is a rich bird life as well, and one of the world’s largest stocks of the protected red water lily. The park consists of more than 925 hectares, of which 409 hectares of water. The fenced portion is about 900 hectares, which means that Eriksberg is one of northern Europe's largest wildlife reserves.
