This is the first private museum to organise modern and contemporary art exhibitions in the city. It was founded in 2004 and is located in an old warehouse by the harbour. Istanbul Modern Museum offers two main exhibition halls; the museum’s permanent collection is displayed on the upper floor and the temporary exhibition hall and photography gallery on the lower floor.

Alsters Herrgård, a mere 8 kilometres east of Karlstad, holds the legacy of the beloved Swedish poet Gustaf Fröding, who was born here in 1860. Delve into the poet's life through guided tours, where anecdotes and poems bring his history to life. The restaurant, set in a period manor, serves home-cooked meals, while the café beckons with delightful homemade pastries. The estate's verdant park provides a panoramic view of Vänern, complemented by a play forest for children. In the east wing, there's a gallery and shop while in the west wing, local handicrafts from all over Värmland are sold.

Oviedo’s Cathedral combines Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance elements. Its 15th-century spire looms over a medieval basilica built by the first prince of Asturias. The cathedral as a whole was finally completed in the 16th century, after more than 250 years of construction work. The main altarpiece, depicting the life of Christ, is in Flemish Gothic style. The cloister is home to the Diocesan Museum, with a number of important archaeological relics.
