Just 30 minutes from Anchorage, the trail to Thunderbird Falls winds through a quiet forest before ending at a 200-foot waterfall. It’s an easy walk—about a mile each way—with a wooden viewing deck overlooking the falls. There’s also a steep little detour if you want to get down to the base and see it up close. Once the temperature drops, Thunderbird Falls becomes something else entirely—still, sharp, and frozen in place like glass.

Spanning an area of 15 square kilometres on Dominica's eastern frontier, the Kalinago Territory stands as a testament to harmonious coexistence with the natural world. Renamed from Kestner-Museum to Museum August Kestner, in order to avoid confusion with the local art gallery Kestnergesellschaft, this museum was founded in 1889 and, in 1962, rebuilt in its present and highly interesting form. Centered on the collections of August Kestner himself as well as his nephew Hermann, the exhibitions contain four different categories of antiquities: Ancient Egypt, Classical Antiquity, Numismatics and Handicraft.

There are several beaches to choose from in the area, but if you are looking for a place within Dinard city limits this is a perfect option. In the summer season this sandy beach is a popular meeting spot and visitors can join a gym class or attend any other of the activities held here.
