Step into the shoes of the leading Baroque artist of his era. Rubens and his family lived in this palatial setting for well over 25 years and it is here that the artist created the lion’s share of his work. Here he entertained Europe’s nobility and Royalty and stored his impressive art collection in a beautiful art room. The charming garden, the creators’ workshop and the fabulous collection draws hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world.

The EKŌ-House - since 1993 a centre for Japanese culture - consists of a Buddhist temple (the only Japanese temple in Europe), Japanese gardens, a traditional house with tearoom and, since 1999, another building including a library and an international kindergarten. The most important function of the EKŌ-House is the cultural exchange between East and West: Japanese citizens cultivate their traditions and allow local citizens the unique opportunity to participate.

Nowhere else in the world is there a collection of Gandharan art more extensive than that of the Peshawar Museum, housed inside an attractive Victorian building (much of the Gandharan section was closed for renovations as of fall 2017, so do give a call prior to visiting).

Lovikka is a small town renowned for its traditional Scandinavian handcraft — the Lovikka mittens. Crafted from felted wool yarn, these mittens epitomise warmth and comfort, uniquely designed to withstand the cold climate of Northern Sweden. Lovikka takes pride in its mittens, even hosting a small museum dedicated to its history and craftsmanship. In Lovikka, visitors can also marvel at the world's largest 'Lovikkavanten', a colossal Swedish glove standing at 3.5 meters, proudly documented in the Guinness Book of Records 2002. Authentic Lovikka gloves, still produced today, are available for purchase, allowing visitors to take home a piece of this rich craft tradition.
