Hersonissos is the epicentre of night-life in Crete, boasting numerous bars, nightclubs, hotels and restaurants. There is also a series of nice beaches and very small bays for a relaxing day on the sand. Only half an hour drive from the centre of Heraklion, the town is accessible by bus, departing from the station near the port.

MAMCO is Switzerland’s largest museum for contemporary art, with around 4,000 works in its collection. It focuses on post-1960s art and often features temporary exhibitions, performances, and installations across its industrial-style space in the former SIP factory.

Covering over 40% of the island's territory, the Corsica Natural Regional Park encompasses a massive area and countless natural wonders, from lush forests to mountain massifs, impressive gorges to mountain lakes, and much more. The GR20, a famous hiking trail, also crosses the park and is one of its biggest draws.
