Another one of Luxembourg's historic castles, the now decrepit one in Esch-sur-Sûre was originally built in the Romanesque style as early as the 10th century, with later Gothic additions two centuries later. Inhabited by commoners for a time, it is now but a relic of Medieval Europe open to the public.

Visit the cosy, 150 old ceramic factory which today is also a museum. The ceramic factory is still creating stoneware after the original principles. When entering inside the old factory you will feel the ambiance of a unique industrial environment and after the tour why not buy some beautiful products to bring back home from the museum shop. Home to the Mogollon Tribe, the Casa Malpais Ruins are also a national historic landmark. Acting as a shadowbox for the Mogollon, Sinagua, Anasazi, and Hohokam tribes, the Ruins possess a history spanning 50,000 years (when the 16-acre pueblo was constructed over lava flows). Casa Malpais served as home to the various tribes between 1100 and 1400 A.D. Guided tours are available for your exploration.
