Karlskrona archipelago is liberating and probably one of the most beautiful places there is. The archipelago of Karlskrona is the southernmost of Sweden’s archipelagos. The whole city is built upon 33 islands. Without the protective ring of large and small islands surrounding the city, King Karl XI, would probably not have chosen Trossö for his new naval base. There are islands, that have from one to 1,500 inhabitants, islands with and without connection to the mainland. Look for your very own favourite spot — and enjoy — because there are plenty of them! Far out in the eastern archipelago, there are plenty of exciting islands like Inlängan, Utlängan, Stenshamn, Ungskär, and Hästholmen, which offer a charming setting. The character of the islands here differs a lot from the green inner archipelago. Far out to the southeast, lies the island Utklippan. Enjoy the unique environment and look for the seal colony, the seals really enjoy their life here.

The Church of Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built in 1878 on the hill above the village. At the main facade there is an inscription: Hoc templum aedifigatum A. D. 1878. The church was restored twice, in 1898 and in 1938.

The Déri Museum is one of Hungary’s foremost establishments of its kind. In addition to its exhibits of local cultural interest, it has become renowned for the huge collection of items, brought together by Frigyes Déri, which represents various aspects of universal human civilization. The museum’s main attractions are the awe-inspiring Christ-paintings of Mihály Munkácsy. The museum opened a new permanent exhibit in 2015, whereas in the Lajos Zoltai Hall temporary exhibits will be on display. The group of four statues by Ferenc Medgyessy, erected outside the main building, was awarded the Grand Prize at the 1937 Paris Exposition.

Main Tower is a 200-metre skyscraper with a public observation platform. Head up to the rooftop for panoramic views of Frankfurt and the surrounding region, especially beautiful as the sun sets over the city.
