On weekdays Wyck is bustling with business from the train station to the river, and on weekends it is just as jumping, with the tourists and day visitors tarrying here to ‘warm up’ for a day out on the town. For adventurous hikers unafraid of heights, a journey to the Pertusato Lighthouse is a thrill. A scenic two hour trek from Bonifacio leads amblers up to a cliff overlooking some breathtaking views and down to a secluded beach, so make sure to bring your swimmers. The lighthouse itself is closed, but the surrounding areas covered in bright limestone make it well worth the walk.

Take a cable car ride over the Rhine and see Cologne from a different angle. You can start at either the Zoo or Rheinpark, making it easy to combine with a stroll or a visit nearby. The trip is short but offers great views—perfect for a sunny afternoon or just a relaxed way to cross the river.
