This is a beautiful medieval structure, first built at the end of the 13th century, and the subject of many additions and alterations over the years. Head up the stairs in Piazza IV Novembre and into the Sala dei Notari – completely covered in allegorical and biblical frescoes that date from the 13th century. Entering the palazzo from Corso Vannucci takes you to the Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria and to two further rooms: the Collegio della Mercanzia and the Collegio del Cambio. The Collegio della Mercanzia is beautifully panelled in wood, probably done by German craftsmen in the 15th century. The Collegio del Cambio has two rooms, the second with stunning late 15th century frescoes by Perugino.

The Victoria Tunnel runs under Newcastle down to the Tyne. It was originally built to transport coal and was converted to a shelter during World War II. Today you can visit this old tunnel and learn some interesting and revelatory facts about the town’s history.

St. Mary's Church of Our Lady of Mercy is located on the small island of Prvić and is dedicated to the Merciful Mother. It is known when the works of the monastery started (1461), but it's still unclear when they finished. The monastery was reconstructed many times and completely renovated after the big fire in 1884. If you're planning to pay a visit to the church, know that the island can be reached by ferry from Vodice or from Šibenik.

Regardless of the weather, this beautiful beach is just perfect for a walk in the sand. Longsands Beach is located on the coast near Tynemouth. If you fancy a trip to the beach, it is not far from Newcastle. This place is also popular for surfing, swimming and kayaking.
