Mojácar is home to two statues in honour ir “mojaqueras”. The statue of “La Mojaquera” (Mojácar woman) has stood in front of the Church since 1989. Sculpted in marble and dressed in the typical attire, she holds the Arab scarf with her teeth and carries the water vessel that was used to carry the precious liquid from the fountain. Located in the Plaza Rey Alabez, next to the parking area, it is a bronze sculpture, symbolizing the woman changing their shoes when entering and leaving the village. You can read a “güajira mojaquera” (a popular folk song).

Worcester Live offers various pastimes for every taste. Go wild at Ireland’s only wildlife park. A short drive from Cork City and home to more than ninety different species of animals from the four corners of the world, Fota offers an immersive wildlife experience as well as exhibits on conservation and animals' native habitats.

Many of the archipelago's islands are populated by giant Aldabra tortoises, and bird species number 250, 12 of those being unique to the islands. Mahe Island's Port Launay Marine National Park is the place to head for whale shark sightings, and Praslin Island is home to the country's national bird - the Seychelles black parrot. Cousine Island is where visitors are encouraged to take part in wildlife conservation projects (and spot free-roaming giant tortoises and rare bird species along the way). A mere 3km away from there is Fregate Island, known especially for its chelonian inhabitants.
