The National Museum Bangkok is the biggest museum in Southeast Asia and a great stop, alongside the Museum of Siam, if you want to understand Thai history and art. It’s spread across several buildings, showcasing everything from ancient sculptures and royal regalia to traditional costumes and ceramics. The collection can feel a bit overwhelming, so it’s worth focusing on the highlights—like the giant Buddha statues and the Bangkok-period royal artefacts. Guided tours are available if you want the backstory behind the displays, but wandering on your own gives a good sense of Thailand’s past at your own pace.

Take a guided tour of Moaning Cavern or get a rush from the rope rappel or caving adventures. Zip lines, climbing and searching for gold and gemstones are other activities offered. Embark on an underground walking tour, or race to the top of a 32-foot tall custom climbing tower with 10 routes and an automatic belay system.

With its striking Gothic architecture and beautiful stained glass, this historic cathedral is Rouen's primary attraction. Inside the cathedral you can find the tomb of Richard the Lionheart. Notable trivia: the cathedral was struck by lightning several times over the centuries, resulting in various degrees of damage.
