One of the best archaeological museums in the Middle East, the National Museum of Beirut provides an excellent overview of the region's history. Highlights include the world's largest display of sarcophagi, a line-up of 31 with naturalistic-looking carved faces, a reconstructed Roman tomb, and a collection of bronze Phoenician figurines uncovered at Byblos. The museum is located on the once-volatile Green Line.

Malmö Konsthall, one of the largest exhibition halls for contemporary art in Europe, continuously curates art that both challenges and inspires its visitors. Since its inauguration in 1975, architect Klas Anshelm's vision of a "Big low concrete box open to the park and light of the sky" has become a reality, creating a unique space that harmoniously merges art, architecture, and nature. With its expansive 2,000 square metre exhibition space, Malmö Konsthall provides a platform for three to four exhibitions each year.
