The best time to visit Tivat depends on what you’re after. If you want long beach days, buzzing nightlife, and plenty of events, June to August is the time to go. The waterfront is alive with energy, the sea is warm, and festivals like Boka Night and Tivat Summer Fest keep things exciting. Just be ready for crowds and peak-season prices.
For a more relaxed experience, April to June and September to October are ideal. The weather is still warm, the sea is swimmable, and hiking trails are at their best. Winter is quiet, with many places shutting down, but if you don’t mind the slower pace, you’ll find festive lights in December and a lively carnival season in February.

Passport & Visa
Montenegro's passport and visa requirements vary for different nationalities. Citizens of the European Union (EU) countries (including Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein) need a passport or a valid ID. The rest of the citizens of other countries will need a passport.
Many countries, including the United States, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Australia, and Japan, benefit from visa-free entry for tourism short stays.
Travellers requiring a short-stay visa (valid for up to 90 days), such as those from some Middle-Eastern, African, or Asian nations, must obtain the visa prior to arrival. All visitors should ensure their passport is valid for at least six months beyond their intended stay. If you're not sure whether or not to apply for a visa, we recommend you contact the embassy or consulate in your country.
