The guide was updated:Nestled in the picturesque foothills of Northern California’s esteemed wine country, the GMC is a focal point for arts in the region, with its spectacular 1,400-seat Weill Hall, located on the grounds of Sonoma State University.
During warm summer months, the 30-foot rear wall of Weill Hall fully opens to the adjacent lawns — similar to the iconic Seiji Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood after which the venue was modeled. Hundreds of picnic tables on tiered terraces and ample lawn seating expands the capacity for performances to nearly 6,000 patrons and affords concertgoers the chance to enjoy world-class music amidst the stunning settings of Wine Country.
