The Airport Shuttle by Hérault Transport and the well-connected bus and tram network by TaM provide efficient public transport links from across the Montpellier Metropolitan area.
Travellers can take the Montpellier Airport Shuttle (line 620) from Boulevard de l'Aéroport or Montpellier Sud de France Railway Station, with a journey time of approximately 25 minutes. Additionally, from Montpellier St Roch Railway Station, you can board Tramway line 1 towards ‘Odysseum’, disembark at ‘Place de l’Europe' Tramway Station, and then connect to the Airport Shuttle (line 620). Taxis and rental cars are also available for hire at the airport.

Best Time to Visit
Montpellier welcomes visitors year-round with generally pleasant temperatures and plenty of sunshine. However, the best time to visit the city is during May to July, offering excellent weather conditions without the peak travel crowds. Summer temperatures peak around 29℃ (84℉), while winters, particularly in January, can see lows of 1℃ (34℉). For extended daylight and optimal daytime activities, July stands out as the month with the longest sunlight hours, making it an ideal period to explore the city.

Montpellier has an extensive network of buses and trains. Most pass through the main train station en route. The developed transportation system makes it easy for travellers to reach destinations within the city and in the suburbs. Consult the website for schedules.
With that said, the city is a rather compact one and many of the places of interest may be reached simply by walking.
