Welcome to South America

South America has it all. Great beaches, spectacular mountains and a magical rainforest. South America stimulates all your senses. Whatever you wish to find and see, you will find it in South America. On the west coast are Peru, Ecuador and Chile, where you can visit the ancient Inca ruins and climb active volcanoes in the Andes with over 6000 meter high peaks. Or visit Rio de Janeiro, Brazil's colorful city. In the north of the continent you can enjoy a fruit drink at one of Venezuela's white beaches. South America is well worth one, two or three visits.

Nature in South America is very diverse, there are large areas of rainforest, high mountain ranges, deserts, cold glaciers, and savannahs. South America has a land area of approx. 17.84 million square kilometers, which is almost 3.5% of the earth's surface. South America's largest country is Brazil, both in surface and in population. The second largest is Argentina.
