The countless farm shops offer an abundance of spices, oils, juices, jams, fruits and vegetables. All locally grown, of course. A wealth of culinary experiences to take home with you.
Kiviks Musteri
Restaurant Kärnhuset offers lovingly prepared food, often featuring locally sourced fresh produce. The menu changes to reflect the seasons, with the company’s own products forming the basis of our dishes whenever possible.
Maritim Krog & Hotell
Maritim regarded as one of the region’s best seafood restaurants. This course serves fresh seafood from local suppliers. Fillet of plaice and classic fish soup you can find on the menu.
Buhres Fisk
In the front row of Kiviks port you will find Buhres Fish market. This is a well-stocked fishing shop. The shop won the 2004 ”Kungsfenan” award.
Karlaby Kro
Karlaby Kro has one of the destination’s best food inspired by Skane and the Mediterranean. The restaurant offers an alternative for those looking for the Österlenian countryside amidst farmland and fields of rapeseed. Spa with a small pool and beauty treatments are also available.
Bröderna M
Centrally located close to the train and bus station in Ystad you will find the Broderna M. They have a cozy bar area to drink and eat, both serving pizzas and a la carte. Here you can enjoy the nice patio and be part of Ystad cozy atmosphere.
Friden Gårdskrog

Hammenhögs Gästgivaregård
Hammenhögs Inn is classic inn, recently refurbished and one of Skåne’s best preserved old inns in the middle of Hammenhög. Here you can enjoy well prepared food in a relaxed environment.
Restaurang Ingelstorp
This old garage in the middle of Ingelstorp is today converted to a restaurant offering both traditional fare and a la carte. A play area for kids is available.
Herrestads Gästis
Just 5 minutes from Ystad and just by the Stora Herrestad exit, you will find this Inn/Gästgifvaregård. During the summer you can enjoy the homemade food and bakeries in the garden.
Allé
At the Alle at the Stenshuvud just outside Kivik you will find this combination of a retail store, catering and a restaurant - an oasis for anyone who enjoys great food. At the Alle you can enjoy a mix of Österlenian ingredients with influences from around the world.
Eva på Torget
Not so strange, but good! Homely and Italian inspired restaurant with a seasonally varied menu in the center of Kivik.
Restaurant Sandskogen Värdshus
On Sandskogen Värdshus, Ystad, many traveled far to eat well and spent time since the 1930s. Now, acclaimed chef Anders Vendel and his colleague and chef Alexander Sjögren opened the doors to a new restaurant in the current Sandskogen Värdshus: Restaurant Sanskogen Värdshus.
Franskans Crêperie
A Crêperie with a taste of Österlen, maybe the sea, perhaps the soil. Sweet and salty, sour and smooth.
Beside the beech forest, the plains and rolling fields. All ingredients are obviously picked from here!
