A word of advice: don’t come to Minorca if you’re a nocturnal neon-seeker with a penchant for high decibels. That isn’t to say the lights go out at bed time. Maó, Ciutadella and most resort areas have a profusion of bars and a handful of clubs – just don’t expect A-list DJ’s and dancing till breakfast.
Cova de’n Xoroi
Bar by day and disco by night. Minorca’s most famous nightlife hotspot is situated in a cave halfway down a cliff that plunges into the sea. Legend has it that a pirate sheltering there met a watery death.
