Airport

The Poznan-Lawica Airport is located 7 km from the town centre by the main motorway running via Warsaw to Berlin and leads directly to main parts of town: the town centre, the exhibition centre and train station.

It’s easiest to take a taxi into the town centre. Buses 78 and 59 head into town roughly every ten minutes.

Public transport

In the city centre the easiest way to get around is by tram. To get to the outskirts of town you’ll find plenty of buses. A normal ticket is valid one-way for a 10 minute journey, a half-hour or an hour is more expensive. It’s worth buying a one-day ticket, or if you’re staying longer, a weekly. Tickets can be bought in kiosks or in automated ticket machines. You need to stamp them in a ticket reader as soon as you board a bus or tram.

Taxi

To get the best fare it’s best to book a taxi by phone. At the train station, airport and hotels it is often possible to book them for free.
