Enjoy one of the weekly wildflower walks in the summer or one of the many other activities, including classes for adults and children. The Botanical Gardens provide information on gardening and teach the larger ecological interrelationship of plants and animals in the region.

A walk through the dragon-adorned Pagoda Gates leads visitors into the colorful and exciting area of San Francisco known as Chinatown. It is tightly packed with exotic shops, ethnic food markets, and excellent restaurants. In February each year, the Chinese New Year is celebrated here with parades and dancing dragons. Chinatown in San Francisco is the biggest chinatown outside Asia. Always a good choice for a quick and budget-friendly meal, especially of you're craving dim sum.

Located close to the Botanical gardens, Phoenix Zoo has all different kinds of animals. There is a large area dedicated to those of the Sonoran desert and you can get quite close to most of them. They also organize daily activities that allow you to interact with the animals, such as camel riding, stingrays petting and goat brushing.

The Galicia Contemporary Art Centre showcases some of the best modern art exhibits in the region, hosting works by both Galician and international artists, including Moncho Amigo and Knut Asdam, as well as always evolving temporary exhibitions.
